“Preach the word,” Paul says to Timothy. “Fathers…bring [your children] up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord,” he says to the Ephesians. In Paul’s mind, every man, from father to pastor, is expected to teach the Bible.
But how do we do this? What is the best method? The best strategies? How do we teach the Bible biblically?
Join us as the men (and young men) of Ridgewood Church gather Sept 25-26 to think about just that.
Over the weekend, we will have three large sessions devoted to teaching on context, gospel connections, and application. In addition to this, we will have assigned small groups in which everyone gives a presentation on how they would teach through an assigned passage of scripture from the book of James.
To be clear, if you sign up for this event, there will be “homework” for you to complete prior to the event. It won’t require more than a couple hours of your time, and we will provide you with tools to help you.
For those who sign up, you will get an email 1 month prior to the event with your assigned passage and a rubric to prepare your presentation.
Cost: $45/adult, $20/kids (ages 8-17)
