Our Convictions & Commitments
It’s our conviction that middle and high school are not simply stages students must endure, but unique seasons for students to cultivate ownership of their faith alongside mentors and older siblings in the faith.
We have four convictions and four corresponding commitments that undergird our efforts to see our students develop into maturity in Christ:
Parents are the ones primarily responsible for discipling their students…so we are committed to equipping and partnering with parents because they will give an account to God. (Deut. 6:7, Eph. 6:4)
Students can and must have access to Jesus because their souls are at stake…so we are committed to making Jesus known to our students through biblical teaching and evangelism. (Ps. 78:1-4, Matt. 19:13-15)
Students are a meaningful part of this church community…so we are committed to introducing them to the beauty and necessity of life together as a church. (John 13:35, 17:20-22; Eph. 6:1-3; Col. 3:20)
Aunts, uncles, and grandparents in the faith are co-laborers with parents…so we are committed to encouraging the church body to love and invest in students. (Tit. 2:1-10, Eph. 2:10)
