About Mikey…

Mikey Smith is from Summerville, SC. He moved to Greenville in 2028 to attend North Greenville University, where he received a BA in Christian Studies. Mikey and Hannah, his wife, have known each other since high school and got married in May of 2022. They are also expecting their first child in early 2027! He has attended Ridgewood for a little over 6 years now.

What do you love about serving at Ridgewood?

I love how easy it is -- the people here make our jobs easy, and it is such a joy to serve them and serve alongside them. I also love watching the keyboard player every week (she's my wife...)!

What do you do when you are not serving?

If I am not reading a book, then I'm either hanging out with the family or watching one of my favorite movies.

What is your Favorite book?

This is a tough question, but here are a few: for non-fiction, I would say A Praying Life by Paul Miller and The Care of Souls by Harold Senkbeil; for fiction, I would say Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry and The Road by Cormac McCarthy.

What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?

I was raised Roman Catholic.
