A greenhouse is a structure built specifically to nurture and stimulate growth in young plants. Much like a greenhouse, the church needs structures in place to give opportunities, teaching, and coaching to aspiring young leaders.

What's the goal of the greenhouse?

  1. To help the residents grow in practical godliness.

  2. To teach and explain Ridgewood’s ecclesiological vision.

  3. To provide practical opportunities in significant “hands-on” aspects of pastoral ministry with feedback.

  4. To help the resident discern their long-term ministry calling.

Greenhouse Overview

  • We’re taking 3-8 male residents for a 2-to-3-year program. (This could be contracted or expanded based on individual resident's readiness.)

  • Residents are preferred to have completed an undergraduate degree.

  • Residents must become members of Ridgewood Church.

  • It’s a minimum 6 hours/week to a maximum of 12 hours/week commitment with a fund-raising option.

  • Fitness for continuing in residency is evaluated after the completion of each year.

We're taking applications through summer 2026. The program begins mid-August 2026.
