Carla Beasley
About Carla…
Nathan and Carla both grew up in SC in Christian homes and came to know the Lord at early ages. They were married during COVID, when Carla also graduated nursing school at USC Upstate. As a nurse and now deacon, Carla has had the incredible privilege of serving people in a variety of ways. They have attended Ridgewood since early 2022 and became members that summer.
What do you love about serving at Ridgewood?
The Lord, in His infinite wisdom, knew the heart He cultivated in me to love and serve the people around me, through bandaging a wound or crying with a hurting friend. It's been an honor to serve with the other deacons to try and meet the needs of and pray for folks in our body. I have been humbled to also see the way the Lord has worked on my own selfish heart to make me more like Him.
What do you do when you are not serving?
I love Flying Fox Coffee, walking through farmers markets, playing board games with friends and family, or working on the many projects on our older home.
Favorite book?
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.
What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?
I am the 14th great granddaughter of Pocahontas.
