what's the Story of our space?
On Sunday, August 9, 2020, the saints of Ridgewood Baptist Church (RBC) in Greer, SC (operating as Grace Place) generously gave us their facilities. The saints at RBC/Grace Place recognized the facilities had deteriorated beyond their ability to care for them, they saw our need, and they were moved by the Lord to gift us the property at 407 Ridgewood Drive in Greer.
If you are familiar with our story, this is something we have asked the Lord to provide from day one. We’ve pleaded with God for a long-term facility. We were a young church plant that has met in 8 different locations. We've taken pride in our identity as a church “light on its feet,” but the moves have been taxing, and we knew long-term sustainability would be more easily achieved through a long-term building. We prayed earnestly for God to provide – and He did! If you are familiar with the story of RBC/Grace Place, it’s only fitting that this ministry – founded on a commitment to generosity – would give this property to our church. We’ve called this building "a gift of Grace.”
We moved in and relaunched as Ridgewood Church in fall of 2022. We are the same church with the same vision and mission, only with a new name and new long-term home.
Praise God for His generosity!
How can you help with the on-going renovations?
You can pray for us! Pray for our future ministry there, pray for our new neighbors, and pray that decades of gospel-ministry would take place here.
You can also give to help our move. If you are interested in giving a one-time gift to this project, you can do so easily by clicking on this link and selecting “Ridgewood Building Renovations” from the FUND dropdown. Every gift is tax deductible.
