About Aaron…

Aaron and Casey married in 2015. Casey and Aaron spent a few years doing college ministry at the church that planted Ridgewood (Christ Fellowship Cherrydale) before moving to Nairobi, Kenya for two years to serve local churches ministering to people living with HIV & AIDS. They have three children: Audrey (born in 2020), Samuel (2021), and Mason (2023). Aaron became a believer while a student at Furman University. He has a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

What do you love about serving at Ridgewood?

I love that I get to pastor, serve, and pour my life out for people who are my closest friends and are truly family. Our church is an absolute joy to pastor, and I love that we are on mission together to make Jesus known from Greer to the ends of the earth. I have also loved that we have gotten to send out missionaries, and I pray that we will get to send out more.

What do you do when you are not serving?

I love spending time with my wife and three kids - they are a joy! We love having people in our home and sharing meals with others. Personally, I enjoy watching the English Premier League (Go Arsenal!), running, playing sports, and reading.

Favorite book?

Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life by Donald Whitney.

What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?

I thoroughly disliked reading until becoming a believer at age 19. Reading the Bible helped me develop a love for reading.
